Process

1) Initial consultation- This meeting will be free of charge. We use this meeting to introduce ourselves and to get aquainted. We then discuss client needs. We determine if the current design is sufficient or if client needs a new layout with better navigation and organization. We then examine what message client wants to convey to the public. This varies depending on the client. We then examine different ways to present client ideas on the site. This varies depending on clients, but generally includes any publications, images, and content reflecting client's purpose and intended audience. After we have this information and a rough idea of how large the site will be, we conclude the meeting and Midwest Web Design will take 24-48 hours to come up with an estimate for the project cost. We do ask that this meeting only lasts for an hour to an hour and a half. Any additional consultations will be billed at $50.00/hour.

2) Project Estimate- Midwest Web Design will email or use another means of communication to propose project cost. Upon receipt of proposed project cost, client will have the opportunity to raise questions, comments, concerns to Midwest Web Design. After client reviews the proposed cost, client will have the opportunity to either accept or refuse proposed cost. If client refuses proposed cost, client and Midwest Web Design will terminate any future meetings. If client accepts, client and Midwest Web Design will move forward to step 3.

3) Proposed layouts- Midwest Web Design will design 3 (three) proposed layouts for client. Upon receipt of these proposed layouts, client will have 14 (fourteen) days to review these layouts and raise questions, comments or concerns regarding them. After this period, client will accept one of the three layouts with modifications requested.

4) Content provided by client- After client accepts the new design, they will provide ALL content to Midwest Web Design in electronic format. This can be Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, or another form of electronic media. At this time, client will according to contract specifications, pay the stated up front cost for Midwest Web Design to continue production of web site.

5) Beta version- After client has provided Midwest Web Design with ALL content for web site and Midwest Web Design has formatted such text, graphics, Midwest Web Design will contact client through email or another form of communication with the temporary address to the client's new web site. Client will have 14 (fourteen) days to review web site and raise questions, comments or suggestions to the revision of content. After such time, client accepts content and layout from Midwest Web Design.

6) Final Payment- After step 5 (five) is complete, Midwest Web Design will invoice client for services provided and client will have 30 (thirty) days to provide payment. After such time, Midwest Web Design reserves the right to terminate client's web site until proper payment has been received.

7) Delivery of site- After final payment in step 6 (six), Midwest Web Design will transfer all new material to client's host and verify all portions of site are working and functioning properly. Once Midwest Web Design confirms the site is working and functioning properly, site is said to be "completed" and unless otherwise stated, future maintenance or work requested by client will be completed by client unless other arrangements are made by client and Midwest Web Design.

Note: Although this process can vary from client to client, Midwest Web Design will adhere to this process as closely as possible.
